Amitabh Bachchan to play a 13-year-old

The Big-B has been known to take risks with style, and the latest role to challenge his acting mettle is R Balakrishnan’s (Balki) ‘Paa’. This is the same director who had Amitabh playing a 64-year-old man in love with a 34-year-old woman in his directorial debut ‘Cheeni Kum’.

In a subject that’s sure to prove unique in B-town, Amitabh plays a 13-year-old who’s affected by Progeria, a rare genetic disorder. The disorder rapidly accelerates his aging to three times faster than a normal person. What’s even more interesting is that Abhishek Bachchan will be playing Amitabh’s father in the movie. Vidya Balan has been roped in to play his mother.

Balki is closely guarding the plot and is confident that the unlikely casting and different storyline will work successfully with the audience. To promote the movie and make the public aware about Progeria, the director and his cast are planning on a series of PSAs prior to the release.

Model Jenny McCarthy has admitted that the stunning bikini shot for the cover of Shape magazine was digitally touched up.The actress confessed the picture had been airbrushed to take away her freckles and stretch marks.

“It’’s eating healthy and also a load of airbrushing… I keep myself in very good shape… but it is definitely a little touched up.”I have freckles… and stretchmarks that you do not see here, and they add a little shadowing to make these muscle things happen that don”t exist on my body.

McCarthy further revealed her love for the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, which helped her maintain her curves.

Murugadoss now wants to direct Shah Rukh Khan

After teaming up with Aamir Khan in the hit movie ‘Ghajini’, Tamil director director Murugadoss now wants to work with Shah Rukh Khan and says he is working on a story right now.

‘Yes, I’m working on a subject. I had a meeting with Shah Rukh Khan once and I discussed a story with him. But frankly nothing has been finalised. We are still to meet many a times before a decision is taken,’ Murugadoss told reporters Monday at the launch of new Kannada film ‘Suryakanthi’.

Murugadoss’ ‘Ghajini’, a remake of a Tamil hit, grossed about Rs.250 crore.’Hindi film industry is big. The budgets are huge and we have freedom to narrate the film in a big way. I would like to direct one more Hindi film and then return to make South Indian films.The director says he incorporated several changes in the script of Hindi remake after watching ‘Memento’.

‘I watched ‘Memento’ before writing the script of ‘Ghajini’. But one thing I have to emphasise here is that the characterisation of the hero was changed after I saw ‘Memento’. In my original script, I had made the hero as a handicapped person after sustaining injuries. But I had changed it and included the memory loss syndrome after seeing Memento,’ said Murugadoss.

Porn star Marilyn Chambers dies

Los Angeles – Porn star Marilyn Chambers, who pioneered the transformation of adult movies from the furtive to the mainstream, has died at age 56 at her Los Angeles County home, police said Monday. Chambers, whose real name was Marilyn Ann Taylor, starred in 1972’s Behind The Green Door, which is often seen as the first porn film to gain widespread distributions as video cassettes were becoming popular in US homes. Chambers was famous at the time as a model for a popular soap brand and her career switch to porn star was widely covered in the media.

A spokesman for the coroner’s office said that the cause of death is under investigation but that foul play is not suspected.

David Beckham’’s first childhood house is expected to fetch 215,000 pounds after being put on auction.The small three-bedroom house was said to have had a previous offer of a million pounds.

But after the deal for the property went down the drain, the house has been placed under the hammer.The footballs ace’s former residence, near a dual carriageway and railway in Leytonstone, East London, will now be up for grabs at Savills on May 11.
